June was busy and FUN! We all got to do lots of things and we kept plenty busy which is what I love. But to catch up on May…for Memorial Day we went up to Mt. Charleston for the afternoon with Kenny’s family. Love this picture of the cousins… minus Beau’s scraped up, chocolate face. Beau was fearless riding his bike. Kayli got pretty worn out and used a Frisbee for a ...
Em’s wedding
We’ve had a busy few weeks. First, my cousin, Emily, got married! Emily is so special to me. We didn’t see each other much growing up but when I was 18 we took a big family vacation to Sacramento and stayed with her family. We became instant best cousin-friends. From that day on (probably until I got married) we talked every single day-not kidding. She started flying out to ...
Easter
We were all sick the week of Easter so we missed out on coloring eggs with cousins at Grandma England’s house. We did dye our own eggs and Kayli loved decorating her eggs. Beau thought it was more fun to dye the plastic eggs… We planted jelly beans that night and on Easter morning they had grown into lollipops! ...
Kenny’s Birthday
Kenny just turned 31. His only birthday request was that we go to the Container Park downtown that night. And I just love this picture…These kids love their aunts so much and I hope they all love each other this much for forever. Sunday birthday dinner… He recently took a trip to San Jose to hang out with the super nerds at Google (Kenny’s words, ...
Beau at 18 Months
Beau is such a fun boy to have around. He makes us laugh every day and we can’t get enough of him. He likes to say “daddy” all day long but he’s started saying “juice” and “cracker”. He likes to play basketball, do puzzles, color on anything and everything with crayons, and play with his tools. He also goes to nursery now! He loves it! He’s been doing a ...
2014
New Years Eve was a ton of fun this year. Josh and Mandy were heading home to San Diego and stayed with us for New Years. We took them to Lucille’s at Red Rock for dinner and then headed home to stay up late playing card games and Train-one of our favorite traditions with them! We miss living across the street from these guys! We’ve enjoyed the super nice weather ...
Christmas
We had a great Christmas season packed with lots of fun Christmas traditions and activities. We had one very excited Kayli and a Beau who was pretty excited about Christmas trees, lights, and all of his new trucks. Kayli learned the story of Jesus’ birth and loves to sing Jingle Bells and Up on the Housetop. She also had a blast baking Christmas treats. There’s just something ...
Kayli’s 3rd Birthday
For her 3rd birthday, Kayli wanted a Princess and Pirate party so the girls dressed up in princess dresses and the boys dressed up as pirates. They were all adorable! My family all walked in dressed up too-even my dad! It was such a fun party. The kids played Pin the Tiara on the Princess, they walked the plank, and went on a treasure hunt. I don’t love planning parties but it ...
Disneyland
We took a random, quick trip down to Disneyland a few days ago. I love Disneyland and I love it even more now that I have kids. Kayli was so excited to meet the princesses, of course. She was so funny though. She talked about how she was going to sing them their songs and yet when she actually met them she wouldn’t say anything. You could tell she was in awe though and she just ...
Halloween!
Halloween was a blast. Kayli was set on being a witch and Beau wore a hand-me-down lion costume. Kayli totally understood what was going on and by the end of last night Beau had the hang of it all too. Nothing was cuter to me than watching the kiddos trick-or-treat door-to-door last night. They went trick-or-treating a total of four times this year-but last night was definitely ...
